Frank Fairfield

Last night, I was able to see the wonderful and talented Mr. Frank Fairfield. What a pleasure! Every instrument the guy picks up is with pure enjoyment and resonates with beautiful melodies under his command. He sure is something special to watch and listen to. A sure recommendation.

“In every corner of this planet, wherever there has been a human, there has been music. But music was not for sale before the first big gramophone companies came into being, it was just natural. Now it’s like the difference between food and McDonald’s. Mashed lymph nodes wrapped in cellophane isn’t food, but we’re so used to the barren landscape we don’t question it. That’s how I feel about today’s music, it’s barren. But there’s beautiful music out there if you’re just willing to take a look.”

A wonderful photo series about the retirement of NASA’s space shuttle missions, which was shot right here in Portland, Ore. But as you all know, we won’t stop exploring space anytime soon.

Do Lectures

The Do Lectures – Ideas + Energy = Change.

Here’s a short video about a small lecture series that is taking place in Wales and California. From the video, they seem to get some inspiring people together to talk and share ideas in the hopes to create some change in the world. This should happen more often but maybe for a bit cheaper.
