After coming across a blog post today on the Seven Summits (highest point in each continent), I became a little jealous. I don’t know if I will ever be able to accomplish this in my life, but it surely makes me think about the possibilities. Maybe I can top one of them in the next few years, we’ll see.
With linking from images in the post, I came across a couple of guys that climbed all of the peaks in the last few years. They were the first people from Sweden to climb all seven and the first to ski on all seven as well. Check out more at their Se7en Summits website. There might still be a chance to do all seven with a snowboard, hehe.
The above image is from this past summer when I climbed South Sister mountain (10,363 feet/3,159 m) in Oregon. Not the hardest hike but a great start to my future of hiking. From the top you get a wonderful view from the summit, over looking Middle & North Sister mountains. Next for me, should be the summit of Mt. Hood, fingers crossed.
